Original Recipe - “Mary Berry - At Home”
The toasts can be prepared before baking, arranged on the baking trays, covered in clingfilm and kept in the fridge for up to 2 days
Ingredients
- 1 long thin baguette
- Softened butter, for spreading
- 125g tub full fat cream cheese with herbs and garlic
- Approx 175g cheddar, grated
- A little mild paprika
Method

Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/Gas 7. Lightly grease two baking trays.

Take a sharp bread knife and cut the baguette diagonally into 1cm thick slices. Thinly butter both sides of each slice, then spread the cream cheese on one side. Top each with a little grated cheese and a dusting of paprika.

Arrange on the prepared baking trays and bake for 8-10 minutes or until melted and golden brown.
