Macaroni Cheese

Serves four

Ingredients

  • 400 grams Grated Cheddar Cheese
  • 200 grams Cream Cheese
  • 250 grams cooked Macaroni
  • 1 egg
  • A pinch of salt
  • A table spoon of good quantity Piccalilli (large pieces of pickle cut up)
  • 75 grams butter
  • 200 grams of coarse white breadcrumbs

Method

  1. Melt the cheddar in a large pan then add the cream cheese and allow to cool a little before adding the beaten egg and a pinch of salt.
  2. Stir in the cooked macaroni which can be warm as in just cooked.
  3. Pour into an ovenproof serving dish.
  4. Melt the butter and stir in the breadcrumbs mix well so they all get covered with butter. Spread the mix over the macaroni mix evenly.
  5. Bake in the oven at 160 for 35 minutes and serve
